Deep Tissue Development
Deep Tissue Development is a series of three stand-alone workshops that introduce the massage therapist to a set of assessment skills and deep tissue massage therapy techniques. Each workshop concentrates on a specific kinetic chain in the body: shoulders and arms, hips and legs, or neck and back. Students are welcome to attend one, two, or all three workshops, as each will center around different treatment techniques and different methods of assessment. Licensed Massage Therapists will receive four (4) hands-on CEUs per workshop, for a total of twelve (12) hands-on CEUs.
In Neck and Back, we will study the paraspinal area and intrinsic muscles of the spinal column.
In Hips and Legs, we will study the pelvic girdle, thighs, calves, and anterior compartments of the crural leg.
In Shoulders and Arms, we will study the rotator cuff, upper arms, and forearms.
